Abstract

Three authors from different science fields (social sciences, philosophy and computer science) analyse the implications for society of various Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications. In a book written for a non-specialised audience, with examples of problems but also suggestions for solving them, communication appears as central to the possibility of developing a ‘moral’ AI (i.e. concerned about its effects and trying to avoid possible harmful consequences of its use). This happens because some of the difficulties lie in the lack of communication and articulation between various actors with responsibility in the process.
