Abstract

Thinking about Mário Mesquita since the classroom to the always thought-provoking conversations. To think about journalism, literature and life with a man who was open to indiscipline and contradiction. This chronicle recalls the memories of a journalist and student of Mário Mesquita, the influence that the work O quarto equívoco – O poder dos media na sociedade contemporânea (The fourth equivocation – The power of the media in contemporary society) (MinervaCoimbra, 2003) had on her awakening to journalism and how it has stayed with her to this day. Attentive, ironic, curious, Mário Mesquita is remembered as a journalist with all his senses alert and always absorbing the world that surrounds him.
