Abstract

The goal of improving the health literacy levels and, with that, the health outcomes is one of the challenges that arises in the health communication field. In order to do that, we propose a path using the multiple and specific knowledge acquired during the lifetime that will build a general health literacy. Through this direction, the Social Capital Theory plays a significant and nuclear role at the research design and the effectiveness of knowledge transfer. This approach was used in the design and implementation of an eHealth intervention that wants to improve the engagement of the parents during pregnancy through an APP centered in the specific knowledge transfer. Afterwards, the health literacy will be measured as well as the perception of the importance of this type of intervention whithin this improvement.
