standards, network effect, lock-inAbstract
The increasing influence of the Information and Communications Technologies on today’s world makes relevant the knowledge about the definition of the standards of these technologies. In this paper an economic literature survey is made regarding the standards definition, showing also some additional investigation areas for a better knowledge on the subject, where there is little known investigation.
