Abstract

Considering mass media importance in the contemporary socio- -historical contexts, we intend to, in an anthropological analysis and reflection frame, provide a contribution to the understanding of media discourses: taking them as participating agents in the constitution of representations about the other. Therefore, we promote a briefly discussion regarding mediated discourses of national press journalism, where we intend to reflect about processes of socio-cultural objectification concerning individuals and groups in a migration context. The discussion will be complete with a reflection regarding the narratives of production agents, journalists with different pathways and professional placements, giving visibility to subjective aspects in intersection with their own professional activity.
